Church Planter
Stephen grew up in Rock Hill, SC, and came to faith through Campus Outreach while studying at the College of Charleston. He served with Campus Outreach Charleston (2009–2013) before joining the pastoral staff at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL, where he ministered in youth, singles, and young couples ministries (2013–2025).
Stephen is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), holds an M.Div. from Birmingham Theological Seminary, is a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and has been assessed and approved as a church planter by Mission to North America (MNA). He has been called by the Southwest Florida Presbytery to plant a new church in Tampa Heights beginning Fall 2025.
He and his wife, Kate, have three children: Garrison, Ayden, and Charlotte.
Our Vision
We desire Tampa City Presbyterian to be a multiplying, gospel-driven, disciple-making church to reach Tampa to reach the World for Christ.
Our Location
Tampa Heights
We are seeking to locate the church in Tampa Heights. Tampa Heights is growing rapidly and is centrally located among The Heights District, Ybor City, Downtown, South Tampa and West Tampa. A church in this location has the potential to draw from a wide range of people making it key for gospel ministry and multiplication.
