Stephen King
Church Planter / Pastor
Stephen grew up in Rock Hill, SC, and came to faith through Campus Outreach while studying at the College of Charleston. He served with Campus Outreach Charleston (2009–2013) before joining the pastoral staff at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL, where he ministered in youth, singles, and young couples ministries (2013–2025).
Stephen is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), holds an M.Div. from Birmingham Theological Seminary, is a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and has been assessed and approved as a church planter by Mission to North America (MNA). He has been called by the Southwest Florida Presbytery to plant a new church in Tampa.
He and his wife, Kate, have three children: Garrison, Ayden, and Charlotte.
